I just read the dumbest *hit that I have ever read in my life.
I'm sure any engineer over about 35 would appreciate this. I just read that Google has this grand secret scheme to build this huge computer that everyone can use via the internet that will replace all PCs and Windows. So, in other words, Google in 2004/5 is going to do what IBM was doing in 1976? The idiots that are Corporate America got exactly what their dumb asses deserved when they bought into the whole personal PC in the workplace *hit and the claims for increased productivity. The personal PC in the workplace only lasted about two or three years before they were all tied into a network and then the network became the computer (a Sun slogan). So, now we hear that someone is actually working on this revolutionary "centralized computer scheme". What a ***king joke. Corporate America sunk all that money into Windows and personal computers in the workplace and I have this feeling that if the idiot *** hadn't thrown all of their money down the Windows/Personal PC sink hole, they probably would have spent it on something even more destructive to life on the planet. -------------------- |
